Speakers
Andrew Torris Director, American International School Abu Dhabi Andrew Torris is Director of the American International School in Abu Dhabi. Beginning his career in Oregon over 40 years ago, he has led international schools across Asia and the Middle East since 2001. He holds a doctorate in educational and organizational leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr Farah Sarraj Chief Corporate Officer, Al-Futtaim School Management Company Dr Farah Sarraj is Chief Corporate Officer at Al-Futtaim School Management Company and leads the Centre for Excellence in Arabic, founded in 2018. Her advocacies include 22nd-century education, bilingualism, elevating Arabic, and global citizenship. She held senior school leadership roles in the UK before moving to the UAE in 2011, later joining Ajman University as a lecturer in Education. Dr Sarraj holds an MA and PhD in English Literature from the University of Manchester, a PGCE/QTS from Brunel, and an MSc in Educational Leadership from Portsmouth. A Fellow of the RSA, she is pursuing a Master’s in Mental Health at King’s College London.
